Where We'll Be.
Costa Rica is known for its tropical rainforests, mountains, volcanoes, beaches, and coffee. However, Guararí is a marginalized community in San José, Costa Rica where 10,000 people live exposed to acute poverty. The majority of those living in Guararí are ethnically Nicaraguan. Our team will be staying in a hotel several minutes away from Guararí.
Who We'll Partner With.
Our GoTrip teams partner with ‘Smiles With Hope,’ a non-profit led by nationals and embedded in Guararí Smiles with Hope is a sanctuary, especially for mothers and children.
What We'll Do.
Our teams offer Gospel teachings, friendship, joy, and love to the mothers and children of Guarari. Expect to spend time in the Smiles With Hope building, leading activities, music, and showing Jesus love.
Who Can Go.
- Team size: 10.
- Ages: 8+ (one child per parent).
- Skills: Willingness to serve in any way. (Spanish speakers are especially welcome to apply).
- Other: This team is open to all but could use a few men.
What It Costs.
- Approximately ~$2,200 per participant.
- This number will become more precise as details are finalized.
- CBC contributes up to 25% of the trip-cost for each participant.
- Participants will be provided with coaching, progress-monitoring, and support with their fundraising.
- CBC will host one springtime fundraiser to help raise support.
