Food Drive | Helping Hands Ministry
December 1β15, 2024
As part of Local Mission, Community Bible supports 7 local ministries in the High Point and Triad Area. From feeding the homeless to ministering to refugee families, Community Bible desires to reach all people, in all walks of life, to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We aim to accomplish our purpose through Local Ministry Partnerships, Community Events, Project Serve and Backyard Bible Club.
The mission of Helping Hands is to relieve hunger and to improve the health and quality of life for individuals and families by meeting their most immediate needs through food distribution and utility assistance.
We come along side Helping Hands by holding food drives and helping with distributing food. We also provide monthly financial support.

The mission of Open Door is βto serve, empower, and minister to clients in order to prevent and end hunger and homelessness through advocacy, education, housing, and coordination of services.β We come along side Open Door by preparing meals the 3rd Friday and 4th Thursday of every month. In addition, we provide monthly financial support.
The purpose of New Life Family Outreach is to provide Christ-centered mentoring, practical support, and prayer for those experiencing challenges related to pregnancy, abortion, or abuse.
We come along side New Life Family Outreach (NLFO) by holding diaper drives and promoting their Walk for Life. We also provide monthly financial support.
Campus Outreach is a ministry designed to serve on university campuses to reach and develop the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. We provide financial support for our own Rachel Deschenes and her husband Thomas as they served in the Raleigh area.
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to empower the local church to serve the most vulnerable. World Relief Triad welcomes immigrants and refugees helping them rebuild their lives in the US as they settle into the High Point area.
We come along side World Relief through our Project Serve events helping them clean and organize their warehouse space. We also provide monthly financial support.

World Relief is continuing to place families in homes as quickly as possible but they need your help! Would your church, small group, youth group, etc. be interested in helping them set-up a home for an incoming refugee family? There is no volunteer onboarding necessary for this opportunity and they need volunteer support during the week and specifically Saturdays. They need your help to provide welcome and tangible expressions of hospitality to our newest neighbors moving to the Triad. If you would like to help please contact Jon Musser at World Relief.
Would your church or small group be willing to do a donation drive for World Relief? We are in need of material donations of household and furniture items (click here for donation list). You could even purchase much needed items right off our Amazon Wishlist and have them shipped directly to our office (155 Northpoint Ave. Suite 102 High Point, NC 27262).
