Where We'll Be.
Querétaro, Mexico is a historic city in the heart of central Mexico and is known to be one of the safest areas in the entire country. The city is known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. Querétaro has a thriving modern economy and is now one of the country’s fastest-growing urban centers. The city’s population is predominantly Roman Catholic, reflected in its many historic churches and religious festivals. Significant poverty persists in rural and peripheral communities, where limited access to education, healthcare, and stable employment continues to challenge many families.
Who We'll Partner With.
We partner with our longterm global partners Estéban and Bethany Amaya. The Amayas are leaders within a ministry called IBAC, which facilitates biblical and theological trainings for church leaders in Latin America with low access to formal biblical training. We'll also be working alongside leaders from the Amaya's church, called 'Vertical Connection' and likely leaders from other local churches and ministries as well. The Amayas live in Querétaro with their four children.
What We'll Do.
With the help of national and missionary partners, our teams focus on bringing Christ’s hope to marginalized people and vulnerable communities in Querétaro. CBC's teams have historically served in an impoverished community called Chamizal, and in an orphanage called Pan De Vida. Teams can generally expect to do Gospel presentations, evangelism, labor-oriented service projects, VBS activities with children (crafts, games, lessons, etc.), and relational ministry.
